We are currently experiencing a very low inventory of homes available for sale in Atlanta, yet a high demand for properties available for purchase. This low supply, combined with a high demand and low interest rates, is creating a seller’s market like we haven’t seen for several years.
For example, in 30075 … just one zip code in North Fulton County … for residential detached properties in all price ranges there are currently 2.7 months of inventory based on closed sales. Compare that figure to January of 2011 when there was a 15.4 month supply and in January of 2012, when the number was 9.2.
