klz4g032h3jc_womanoncouchwithlaptopB4-web I know, I know. We used to keep track of what homes were for sale from our listing books. This was before computers and, believe it or not, it’s how I did business early in my career.

We were grateful to have a published compilation of every home on the market with a small black and white photograph. Problem was, they were outdated the day they came out.  The best properties were already sold!

Of course today we professionals have access to up to date listing information as soon as it enters our Multiple Listing system. We can check our smart phones “on the fly” for whatever we need.

Now guess what? With a service called (what else?) Listingbook, even my clients can have 24/7 instant access with in-depth detail on all listed properties. They can set their own search criteria, change it at any time and let me know what homes they’re interested in.  They can see what’s sold, what’s pending, and even how long something has been on the market.  Price reductions and new listings can generate an automatic alert.

This is a service we provide that is free to our clients.  Buyers love it!  Sellers do too because they can stay informed about new listings and price changes in their neighborhoods.

It’s just another way we make sure that the market isn’t moving faster than we are!
